Development of an omnichannel sales strategy from a virtual mirror, “Magic Mirror”

Perfumerías Rouge, in view of its new strategy to improve the experience of its customers and the need to implement safer and more ecological processes, called on ZENTRICX to innovate and enhance the sale of its makeup products in the context of necessary care. of the pandemic.

HE CHALLENGE

The aim was to improve the customer experience through the use of technology, at a time when the pandemic prevented customers from trying makeup directly on their face. The goal was to find a new way to sell products without compromising safety measures and achieve a competitive advantage that would differentiate Perfumerías Rouge from other brands in the same segment.

THE SOLUTION

It was decided to implement an application of augmented reality within mirrors and tablets, with the possibility of also adding it to other platforms.
The solution aimed to allow customers to try the makeup they wanted without having to expose their skin and to compare their appearance before and after applying the product.
A digital application called MAGIC MIRROR to achieve this solution.

THE RESULTS

The implementation of this solution allowed the purchasing process to be accelerated, since customers could try different looks in less time and buy more products than they had in mind. An increase in customer conversion was achieved as they were able to try makeup that was not available in the store at the time of purchase, allowing them to reserve and purchase it later.
Additionally, a product was developed eco friendly by reducing the use of products such as testers, cotton and swabs to remove test makeup.

This new omnichannel strategy – the platform was used physically in stores as a virtual one connected to ecommerce – generated an increase in the flow of views to the web (the virtual mirror of the store was also connected to ecommerce), allowing Rouge to be able obtain insights of great commercial interest, which were generated by the different product tests that clients carried out using the Magic Mirror solution.
