“Data management optimization”
HSBC called on Zentricx to be an intermediary in the planning and execution of the installation of the SAS VIYA 3.5 tool, with the objective of generating data models using SAS code and Python code.
HE CHALLENGE
Three lines of work were outlined: installation and obtaining of Viya® licenses, advice on best usage practices and support from HSBC collaborators on the use of the SAS® Viya® Platform and the components selected to meet the client's needs.
HSBC Bank, based on its optimization needs, requested the installation and implementation of Viya®, in order to obtain the capabilities provided in the Machine Learning models. That is why Zentricx, together with SAS Professional Services, recommend the needs for the installation of Viya® and the execution in Time and Materials mode to assist you in installing the platform, assist the Bank team to proactively manage the platform and provide the necessary advice so that they can take advantage of the installed software.
THE SOLUTION
The installation of the SAS Viya 3.5 platform was carried out, within an On Premise server installed by HSBC, with the necessary licensing to use the proposed tools. In parallel, the corresponding licensing request for the use of the Software was jointly managed with the HSBC team.
Additionally, the scope of the project was modified at the request of the bank, to collaborate in the installation of JupyterHub, leaving its configuration in their hands.
Zentricx participated in the project jointly with the platform owner, SAS, in the role of specialist intermediary, facilitating the successful implementation of the project.
HE RESULT
HSBC highlighted the optimization that was achieved in the construction of analytical models, thanks to the combination of SAS and Python code that the solution allows.
This solution meant a technological improvement within the bank, thanks to the implementation of SAS Visual Machine Learning tools.
